Regarding the intellectual property dispute, Vida Adutwumwaa urges Alabaster Box to demand more from Medikal.

Gospel group Alabaster Box has been urged by entertainment commentator Vida Adutwumwaa to raise their demands in their current legal battle with rapper Medikal over alleged intellectual property violation.

Medikal's use of what is thought to be a distinctive chant or phrase that was first made popular by Alabaster Box is the source of the issue. According to reports, the Christian group requested that the rapper stop exploiting their songs without giving them due credit or payment. Speaking about the matter, Vida called Medikal's actions "disrespectful" and expressed displeasure in his response to Alabaster Box's concerns. Medikal's unrepentant attitude, she noted, is indicative of a larger disrespect for artists who depend on their intellectual property for a living.

"The Alabaster guys believe their intellectual property should work for them because not everyone in Ghana can make quick money,"
she said. She pointed out the irony in Medikal's contemptuous attitude toward Alabaster Box by drawing comparisons between his response and his previous outburst in response to a TV3 segment featuring Sarkodie.

"You react when you're furious, but you've taken someone else's stuff without giving them credit, and now you're instructing them how to react? "It's illogical," Vida contended.
